Stash uses Clash configurations, and Potatso reads them too. Import the same subscription URL or configuration file, and your proxies, proxy groups, rules, rule providers and DNS settings come along.
Bring your subscription
- Copy the subscription URL you use in Stash.
- In Potatso, on Home, tap the + button, then Import via Link/File.
- Paste the URL and tap Continue.
- Check the preview. Under Import To, choose where it goes, then tap the button at the bottom.
A subscription imported from a URL keeps updating, daily by default. Changes you make in Potatso are kept across updates. See Import subscriptions and configurations.
Bring a configuration file
If you edited your configuration in Stash, or it isn't from a URL, import the YAML file instead:
- In Potatso, tap +, then Import via Link/File.
- Under Source, choose File, then tap Choose File… and pick the file. It must be UTF-8 text and no larger than 5 MB.
- Tap Continue, check the preview, and import.
A file is imported once: it has nothing to update from.

The preview lists everything it skipped under Compatibility Issues, with the reason. Skipped rules are listed with their rule number, so you can find them in your configuration.
After you import
- On Home, check the outbound mode. A Clash configuration with rules imports in Rule mode, unless its
modesays otherwise. See Outbound modes. - Turn on the switch on the status card to connect. The first time, iOS asks to add Potatso's VPN configuration: tap Allow.
Disconnect Stash before you connect Potatso.
